About Finland

Our Finland locations include Vantaa and Joensuu, employing over 700 professionals supporting functions such as production, instrument and reagent manufacturing, R&D, marketing, sales, quality, administrative support and supply chain.

Our Vantaa site develops pipettes and microplate instruments as well as clinical chemistry and industrial chemistry analyzers, laboratory automation solutions and food safety kits. How will you make an impact?

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative R&D Scientist to join our Assays Research and Development team in the Biomarkers, Automation and Instrumentation (BAI) Business Unit in Vantaa. This is an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in developing and maintaining products that impact lives worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new products, improving existing technologies, and maintaining current products.

What will you do?      

Design and conduct experiments to develop new products.

Maintain and improve existing products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. Manage corrective and preventive actions when needed.

Analyse data and interpret results to draw meaningful conclusions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, operations, QC, customer service…) to support product improvements, innovation and new products development

Collaborate with regulatory affairs to support products registration worldwide.

Prepare detailed technical reports and presentation.

Stay current with scientific literature and advancements in the field.

Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

What will you need?

Ph.D. or Master’s degree in chemistry, biosciences or other related field

Shown experience in R&D, preferably in the IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English and Finnish)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
