Job Description

As the R&D Operations Analyst, you'll be responsible for implementing, governing, and sustaining the systems and processes to support the daily operational needs of the Amcor Flexibles North America R&D organization.  The primary scope of responsibility will encompass specification management with a focus on standardization and simplification.

You'll also have responsibility for ensuring data integrity and accuracy while collaborating on projects with cross functional areas.  Additionally, you'll use analytical and quantitative methods and specification rationalization to support the R&D organization.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Specification Maintenance & Governance:

Maintain process standards and data rules to ensure system data integrity across R&D tools and systems

Perform system approval and governance for technical specifications, material (direct, groups, blends), manufacturing and quality specifications

Lead and support system implementation initiatives

Execute daily requests from R&D and AFNA business partners

Lead and support end to end processes for continuous improvement opportunities across AFNA R&D

Participates in end-to-end process alignment with other areas and recommends processes as applicable for the division

Lead Implementation and standardization of elements of the Technical Specifications, Quality Test Methods, Specification and SAP data

Execute maintenance plan for Technical Specifications (Quality, Materials, Manufacturing, Special instructions).

Define Technical Specification standards for use in the R&D community

Learning, Training and Documentation:

Maintain documentation and work instructions for core R&D systems and processes

Maintain AFNA R&D Operations content in SharePoint

Maintain training curriculum for core R&D systems and processes

Provide training for new employees as well as on-going training requirements on R&D Systems

Mentor and develop expertise in others

Measures effectiveness of the solutions and makes necessary adjustments as continuous improvements

Supports knowledge sharing and knowledge transfer efforts.

Additional Role Responsibilities:

Actively engage in change management process

Define and manage Project Plans, Project Team Meetings, and establish and develop Project Stakeholder relationships.

Continuously learns company business process and gains functional expertise

Participates on the best approach to pilot and deploy solutions

WHAT WE VALUE

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

Required:

Bachelor’s degree

4+ years of experience with systems, data and project leadership

Experience with developing and maintaining processes and tools

Previous experience working in ERP systems

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, structures, machines, materials and quality inspection methods

Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred:

Expertise in SMS

Working experience in SAP

Master data and regulatory experience
