Reporting directly to the VP of R&D, you will lead our solar technology development efforts, driving innovation and guiding a talented team of 10 engineers and scientists. This role combines team leadership with project management, ensuring that new concepts move efficiently from idea to proof of concept and into product development.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Lead and mentor the R&D team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvementPartner with product management to shape new product concepts aligned with customer needsManage technology projects from conception to proof of concept, ensuring feasibility, quality, and cost targetsDrive cross‑functional development activities and maintain project schedules and budgetsPresent progress and insights to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

The essential requirements of the job include: 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field5+ years in product development, engineering, or research (3+ in direct product development)Strong leadership and project management skills (PMP a plus)Broad understanding of design, manufacturing, and product useFluent in English; Dutch is an advantage
