It combines advanced software, algorithms, and equipment to bring automation, increased leather savings and productivity. Over 18 years of activity and continuous investments in R&D enabled us to build a significant collection of proprietary software algorithms and hardware equipment.

 

As the R&D Manager at Thagora by Lear, you will lead cross-functional innovation across software and hardware areas, integrating software engineering, embedded systems, electronics, and mechanical design into high-performance solutions. This role is pivotal in bridging technical teams and ensuring seamless execution from concept to deployment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end development across software, hardware, and integrated systems, ensuring alignment with product vision and company goals. Translate product requirements into technical specifications, sprint plans, and deliverables using Agile or hybrid methodologies. Oversee design and implementation of algorithmic modules, control software, and user interfaces for industrial machinery. Supervise electronics and mechanical design, prototype builds, and manufacturability assessments. Ensure seamless software-hardware integration through standardized interfaces and system-level testing. Define and manage project scope, timelines, resources, risks, and budgets using tools like JIRA. Act as a cross-functional leader, liaising between technical teams, executive leadership, clients, and distributors. Lead, develop and mentor the team. Foster a culture of innovation and accountability, mentoring engineers and driving continuous improvement.

Proven experience in R&D leadership, preferably within IT or industrial tech sectors Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities Exceptional communication and collaboration skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
