Design Engineer role responsible for mechanical and electrical system design, build support, and testing for heavy construction and mobile equipment in a Research and Development environment.
Job RequirementsBS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural Engineering, or related field
Proficiency with CAD tools (CREO strongly preferred)
Minimum 1 year of design experience with sheet metal and weldments
Eligibility to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen
Local or regional (Midwest) candidates strongly preferred
Experience or internships related to mobile equipment, heavy construction, agriculture, heavy truck, crane, ATVs, or similar equipment
Preferred SkillsExperience with electrical wire harness design and routing
Experience using CAPITAL HARNESS or CREO for harness design
AAS degree with strong relevant experience in mechanical or electrical design
Experience supporting R&D activities for mobile or off-road equipment
Job ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical and electrical design and engineering activities for heavy construction equipment in an R&D environment
Advance new ideas and technologies on heavy equipment, from concept through validation
Design components and assemblies including weldments, sheet metal parts, and related structures
Support design of electrical systems including wire harness design and routing
Contribute to build and test phases for prototypes and production-intent equipment
Produce and maintain CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation for assigned designs
Collaborate with R&D, test, manufacturing, and other technical teams to ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and reliability requirements
Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
