Overview The role will be responsible for the regulatory compliance of China mainland import/export product portfolio and play a critical role providing strategic advice on regulatory barriers and opportunities to support rapid growth of China mainland import & export business. The role will also engage externally to meet the business needs in the dynamic regulatory environment in China. Responsibilities •Regulatory Compliance: Represents RA and is accountable for the Regulatory compliance of import/export products according to needs from different business model. Track regulatory developments to monitor all proposed changes to Regulations and input into strategy to manage impacted products; implement new regulatory guidelines and protocols once regulations are promulgated, with focus on import/export area. Manage and engage with external regulatory authorities and KOLs involved in import/export related regulation development, shape favorable regulatory/policy environment to mitigate negative impact on business •Innovation Facilitation: Collaborate with commercial and global team to continuously improve efficiency of import/export process, including approval rate and launch rate Remove barrier for import/export product to enable speed to market. •Functional Excellence: Ensure PepsiCo guidelines & policy is being followed. Collaborate with RA communities on other strategic projects. •Crisis & Incident / Issue Management: Manage Regulatory Issues in relevance with import/export, and take actions where necessary to mitigate potential risks to Business. Participate in negotiation and interface with regulatory/enforcement authorities. Qualifications •Minimum of Bachelor in Food Science, Biochemistry or Related Discipline •> 5 years working experience in food industry regulatory function with at least 3 years in import/export regulatory affairs is preferred •English – fluent spoken and written •Multinational Food Company regulatory experience is preferred •Good knowledge of China Regulatory framework as well as regulations on wide range of product categories including snacks, beverage, nutrition etc. •Excellent Communication and influencing skill, with experience of working in global matrix organization
