Sanofi Global Hub (SGH) is an internal Sanofi resource organization based in India and is setup to centralize processes and activities to support Specialty Care, Vaccines, General Medicines, CHC, CMO, and R&D, Data & Digital functions​.

Translational Models Research Platform, in Sanofi R&D, enables several key aspects – mainly in vivo and in vitro evaluations - of early discovery to first in human studies. The Animal Welfare Assessment Manager is a key role overseeing external in vivo studies’ compliance with legislations and Sanofi principles on the protection of animals.

 

Main responsibilities

Collaborate with the Animal Welfare Assessment Core Team (AWACT) members and Animal Welfare Experts (AWE) to implement the external partners global audit program to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Sanofi principles on animal protection at third-parties (suppliers, CROs, collaborations).Conduct Animal Welfare Assessments of Sanofi third partiesReview questionnaires and interact with partners as necessary to assess their animal care and use programConduct virtual visits - Exceptionally, conduct on-site visitsPrepare audit reports and follow up on CAPACreate and follow up partners approval status in QualiPSOManage the AWA database: Responsible for data entry and integrity for AWACTDevelop dashboard for the follow up of AWA KPIDevelop new tracking tools as necessary and implement AI wherever possible to reduce bureaucracyMonitor notifications for AWA requests via scientist.com or any other relevant notification system to track new contracted studies, selected partners and the need for their qualification.Provide veterinary advice and assistance to AWE for document review before site visit to large CROs, or for any AWA related questions.Provide AWA training to new onboarded AWEProvide training and assistance to Sanofi sponsors for the implementation of Sanofi principles on animal protection at third parties.Assist with the global annual external animal use data collectionAssist with the global management of Animal Welfare Concerns reported from outsourced studies

About You

Experience:Previous experience in laboratory animal science setting in an international environment (US, Europe).Strong experience as a veterinary professionalExperience of working in Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC)-accredited animal facilities.Ability to train/guide/mentor team membersPrevious experience in performing audits and/or quality assuranceSoft and technical skills:Knowledge of laboratory animal welfare regulations and guidelines (EU, UK, US, Canada).Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and remote partners, mainly based in the US and Europe. Highly motivated and able to work independently and remotelyIntermediate Digital and AI skills – database management, data visualization/dashboard, project managementEducation:​Veterinary degree from an accredited schoolAdvanced degree preferredBackground in Laboratory animal science Languages: Fluency in English
