Job Description
The Quoting Associate will collaborate with internal teams and customers to prepare quotations for products and services. This role is heavily administrative and involves working with vendors and freight companies to obtain product quotes, hauling quotes, and other relevant data.
ResponsibilitiesAnswer emails and phone calls for product quotes, typically from sales personnel.Analyze, compare, and interpret detailed and occasionally unclear information.Process information through the quoting program, currently QuoteWerks.Contact vendors to obtain quotes for required products.Contact freight companies to obtain hauling quotes.Gather and analyze cost data for desired products.Save all quoted data in appropriate files, both paper and electronic.Organize files, including active orders, dead orders, and lost orders.Update vendor pricing in quoting systems.Provide backup assistance to the purchasing department.Essential SkillsExperience in administrative support, quoting, or pricing.Customer support expertise.Excellent organizational skills.Excellent communication skills.Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical inclination or hobbies involving working on cars, motors, or building things.Work Environment
The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with flexible hours, allowing a start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM. The dress code is casual, with a requirement for steel-toed footwear, for which an employee allowance of $75 per year is provided. The work environment promotes a collaborative culture, utilizing technologies such as QuoteWerks and the Microsoft Office suite.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
