Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager Aggregates, this leadership role is a multi-faceted role for someone looking for the next step in their career or looking to apply their existing skills and experience in an important role in a growing and exciting market. 
Based at Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast, you will hold direct responsibility for all aspects of the operations focusing on safety, environment, plant, equipment to achieve annual financial targets whilst delivering on customer requirements and execution outcomes.  

About the role: 

Leading and managing people while bringing your team along the journey to successfully achieve goals 

Making business decisions that impact the overall performance of the business, including achieving agreed targets / KPIs, financial planning, budgeting, and managing costs within budget. 

Managing the day-to-day operations where you are responsible for quarry development, storm water and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules 

Focused on continuing our approach to rehabilitation and maintaining our reputation within the industry as a responsible and sustainable partner within the community. 

Bring a strong safety mindset and manage high risk activities and reduce risk exposure for self and others. 

About you: 

You have a safety mindset with a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm 

Have a minimum of 5 years of Quarry Management experience in a hard rock quarry. 

You must hold the relevant qualifications / notice to meet the current requirements under the Mining & Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 (or able to obtain one by meeting the criteria). 

Diploma in Extractive Industries or relevant tertiary qualifications (Mining, Geology, Engineering, Construction, or similar) and a Shot Firers ticket are desirable. 

An ability to support continuous improvement across the Supply Chain process to establish good performance through insight and innovative planning. 

A strong Leadership mentality with a demonstrated track record in delivering transformational change within a complex business environment 

The capability to deliver exceptional negotiation and influencing skills when interacting with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders 

You are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure. 

You have a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders 

You have a high level of resilience and adaptability to changing situations.
