Description
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of quantity and cost control for the assigned project. This includes the preparation and verification of remeasurements, variation claims, budgeting, and forecasting activities. The role also provides support to Sub Contract Managers on claims, cost assessments, and estimation tasks to ensure accurate and transparent financial performance throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Monitor and control project costs from inception to completion, delivering accurate cost projections and detailed financial reports. Collaborate closely with project teams to assess scope changes and adjust cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts accordingly. Review and interpret drawings, material take-offs, and documentation issued by Offshore or contractors across multiple disciplines, including Structural, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, and Coating. Conduct site inspections to verify quantities and validate remeasurements and variation claims. Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and visibility of budget performance and variances. Education Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry. Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in cost forecasting, reporting, and cost management software, with advanced Excel capabilities.
