About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10 Job Title: Quantitative Associate, Index Investment Strategy We are seeking applicants for the role of Quantitative Associate, Index Investment Strategy, to be based in the London office of S&P Dow Jones Indices as part of a global team with the mandate to create and promote research, commentary and analysis improving understanding, awareness, and appreciation of the role of indices within investing, trading, and benchmarking. You will: Play a critical role in the development and operation of S&P DJI’s flagship investment research and commentary, developing a wide-ranging set of skills to produce written, visual and multimedia content for clients and broader stakeholders. Produce content analyzing index and market dynamics on a regular schedule Seek ways to enrich and extend our client’s understanding of relative performance and index design. Create opportunities to author and present new research to internal and external audiences. Have the chance to work on the firm’s most important and visible research franchises, including our renowned SPIVA® series of actively managed fund Scorecards. You work on a wide range of investment topics, calibrated for a wide range of sophistication levels, from the basic case for passive investing to the effective use of factor, derivative-based and thematic indices in a multi-asset portfolio context. Your contributions will help grow interest in a market-leading range of indices, including world-famous benchmarks and brands such as the S&P 500®, iBoxx®, and VIX®, as well as a truly global range covering all major asset classes and indicators with clients ranging among the world’s leading asset managers, exchanges and banks. The Index Investment Strategy Team’s mission is to enhance the reputation, relationships, and revenues of S&P Dow Jones Indices. We provide research and commentary across the full range of indices, with particular focus on the active-passive debate, factor indices, and index dynamics. Our thought leadership promotes index-based investing, trading and benchmarking to a variety of financial market participants, providing actionable insights at a variety of sophistication levels and frequency. Activities span the development and delivery of actionable insights across a range of formats.
