Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description

The Quality Control Inspector 2 ensures products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements, including code requirements when applicable. This role involves inspecting, testing, and evaluating materials, parts, and products throughout the production process to identify defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications, ensuring adherence to quality standards. This position is expected to uphold the organization's Why and Culture Principles.

ResponsibilitiesConduct in-process and final testing/inspections on materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to quality standards.Accept or reject products, parts, or materials that fail to meet specifications.Identify and report product defects and deviations, recommending and assisting with corrective actions.Compare produced goods to blueprints/drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy.Utilize gauges, calipers, and micrometers to measure product dimensions.Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment to ensure accurate operations.Maintain records of inspection and/or test data.Communicate inspection/test results with appropriate staff or management.Identify opportunities for lean and continuous process improvements.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines.Essential SkillsInspectionQuality assuranceCalipersQuality controlBlueprint readingMicrometer usageExperience with gauges and CMMProficiency in Microsoft OfficeAdditional Skills & Qualifications1-3 years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of boiler and pressure vessel codes and Section 1 codes is a plusWorking knowledge of quality control methodologies and systemsWorking knowledge of basic fabrication, welding techniques, weld procedures, and machining proceduresUnderstanding of required maintenance, in-transit, and permanent recordsAbility to interpret drawings, customer specifications, and standards of moderate complexityKnowledge and understanding of various NDE processesAbility to create QA/QC reports and interpret statistical dataExperience working within an ERP systemHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to read, write, and speak in the English languageWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing environment where you will work in a non-climate controlled shop with heavy machinery. Fans and cooling stations are provided. Steel toe boots are required, and you will work alongside 35 other employees on your shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
