About This Role
Performs Quality Engineering assignments requiring independent evaluation, selection, and application of standard Quality Engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment and ingenuity in making adaptations and modifications. Work with a test Engineering team in the validation of test requirements from Test Readiness assessment thru Test support and observation, and Test validation and reporting. Work is performed on moderately complex contracts requiring independent execution within a defined set of skills or knowledge area. The Quality Engineer supports product design activities, planning for quality, production and test activities, data analysis and development of metrics, root cause and corrective action, and process and product improvement.

Support Test Engineering inTest Readiness ReviewsTest configuration validationTest setup and execution support – ensuring the test plan is being followed and documentedTest observation and feedbackPost test data and documentation reviewInterfaces with Supplier Quality Engineering to provide guidance and support for supplier issues as it relates to Supplier Test Programs and possibly general program supplier supportPerforms quality planning activities including development of Quality Plan, Quality Assurance Directive and Inspection Plan documents as required by the assigned project(s).Participates in product development and design document reviews targeting design for manufacturabilityInterfaces with internal organizations and systems in performance of the assigned Quality Engineering functions.Participates in process improvement activities through monitoring, root cause investigations, auditing, failure analysis etc.Participates in Program Management activities appropriate to the assigned project(s).Participates in Contract Data Requirements List development, review and delivery to the customer as required by the assigned project(s).Assists in developing fabrication/build processes and standardsPerforms Material Review Board (MRB) disposition and tracking activities.Provides status inputs to the Cost Account Manager for tasks performed. May perform CAM function for small to medium projects.Uses knowledge of inspection tools and techniques to define inspection requirements.Performs QA estimating for small to medium, less complex projects.Reviews customer contracts on simple to moderately complex projects; responsible for requirements analysis, identification and definition.Who We Are

Bachelor’s degree in quality engineering, Test Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a AS9100 environment.Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office software.Effective ability to organize and prioritize assigned tasksKnowledge of statistical techniques and applicationsEffective written and oral communication skills, good interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze test plan and procedures, specifications, drawings, procedures and schematics.Ability to apply logical, scientific or analytical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problemsAbility to work both in a team environment and independentlyAn inquiring mind and passion for learningKnowledge of Quality Engineering and manufacturing processesTechnical knowledge of inspection and test techniquesExperience with Oracle a plusThis position requires that the candidate be a US citizen with or capable of receiving a Secret level security clearance.
