ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions Hospitality is now looking for a Quality & Test Engineer to join our R&D department in Stockholm! This role is crucial to bridging our geographically distributed teams, especially between Stockholm and Landskrona, ensuring consistent software quality practices across the Vostio product line. The role includes hands-on coaching, and collaborative tasks, as well as combines testing expertise with strong interpersonal and communication skills to improve test processes, support developers, and elevate the quality culture.

What would you do as our Quality & Test Engineer
Act as the Stockholm-based "QA ambassador", working closely with teams in Landskrona, (Sweden), Ski (Norway), and Krakow (Poland) to align expectations, share practices, and support unified quality assurance approaches across teams.
You would also:
Serve as a “boots-on-the-ground” representative of the test team in Stockholm, providing real-time support to local developers and facilitating smoother upstream testing coordinating testing efforts and follow up on test activities. Identify and drive opportunities to shift testing earlier in the development cycle and increase automation, especially in areas currently relying on manual efforts. Help debug and interpret build failures, read stack traces, and proactively work with developers to resolve issues, especially around failed test pipelines. Ensure QA-related metrics (e.g., test coverage, pipeline pass rate) are visualized on dashboards and available for team insights and follow-up. Participate in and contribute to the QA Competence Forum and help spread knowledge, tools, and good practices across teams. Provide strategic input to improve long-term testing and quality assurance capabilities Provide hands-on support with the AEM platform, including train and support for local content teams in localization, publishing, best practices, by utilizing its capabilities (components, page types, etc.) to the fullest.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
Familiarity with networked systems, radio communication, and embedded software integration is beneficial, as well as ISTQB certification (or former ISEB).
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a team player mindset, who is solution-oriented, adaptable, and curious – someone who enjoys working across disciplines and solving practical problems. We need a person that has strong ability to collaborate and communicate with both local and remote developers and testers, and has a sense of ownership and accountability, with a drive to ensure robust, automated, and scalable testing.
