Products and serve as the Arket Brand's quality ambassador, embodying and upholding the ARKET Quality Guideline Principles. You will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and resolving product defects while maintaining the highest standards of quality for woven and jersey products.
This role also involves monitoring supplier performance, coordinating with BO pattern makers for sample approvals, conducting thorough inspections and implementing robust quality control measures throughout the production process. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Global Production team to co-execute market development plans, supplier strategies, and product strategies, ensuring alignment with overall brand objectives
What you will do:
Sample Approval:
From Development till Counter sample approval process is under scope with close collaboration with BO pattern makers & buyers.Suggesting BO production friendly making options to keep alignment between Brand/Customer perception and production efficiency for each productClose collaboration with suppliers’ Ntech to make sure supplier is aligned with Arket requirements before making samples; e.g. clarifying Artwork/PP/M-list if/when required.Product Inspection & Quality Control:
Perform thorough inspections of finished woven and jersey garments at various stages of production to identify defects (e.g., stitching issues, fabric flaws, color discrepancies, sizing errors and material defects).Conduct pre-production and in-line inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards for woven/jersey materials.Ensure that garments meet both company specifications and customer expectations.Defect Identification & Resolution:
Identify the root cause of defects in woven and jersey materials and products with collaboration of production teams to implement corrective actions.Work closely with design and production teams to improve garment quality and resolve any issues promptly.Track defect trends and provide recommendations for improvements in the manufacturing process to reduce issues with woven and jersey items.Supplier Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and assess supplier; including product quality, delivery timelines, and adherence to contractual terms.Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and industry best practices.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely resolutions to any quality-related issues.Co-Execution with Global Production Team:
Co-execute market development plans, supplier strategy, and product strategy in collaboration with the Global Production team to align quality goals with overall business objectives.Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, defect reports, and corrective actions for woven and jersey garments.Prepare and present regular quality reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.Ensure compliance with all internal and external quality standards and regulations, especially for woven and jersey production.Continuous Improvement:
Proactively suggest improvements to enhance the quality of woven and jersey garments, reduce defects, and streamline production processes.Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in garment production.QualificationsAlignment to our company values is the most important characteristic we look for in all new joiners. What you need to succeed
Proven experience in quality assurance within the garment industry, specifically with woven and jersey garmentsStrong knowledge of garment production processes, quality standards, and defects commonly found in woven and jersey products.Familiarity with quality control tools, techniques, and software: primarily Lectra.Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects in garments.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective actions efficiently.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.Fluency in the local language and English to converse with local suppliers and global colleagues.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment to perform physical inspections and collaborate with suppliers.Additional InformationThis is a full time permanent contract based in Bangladesh.
