Assist manufacturing in maintaining required quality standards by performing in-process and final product inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications
Support the broader manufacturing team by verifying product accuracy, identifying quality issues early, and helping prevent non-conforming product from shipping
Perform inspections related to product structure, color, size, layout, and overall quality using established tools and methods
Complete daily reports, machine inspections, and required documentation to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations
A typical day includes reviewing job and combo tickets, conducting visual and physical inspections, verifying weight counts, tagging suspect product, communicating quality concerns, and releasing completed jobs to shipping when requirements are met
This role contributes to product consistency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with federal, state, company, and safety requirements
Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet job specifications and quality standards
Audit operator processes against standard operating procedures and identify deviations
Verify product integrity related to structure, color, size, layout, and cosmetic quality
Identify suspect product and complete hold tags on affected loads
Review and interpret job tickets for quantities, selection numbers, sizes, and specifications prior to and during production
Communicate quality questions, concerns, or issues to the Quality Assurance Manager and manufacturing leadership
Collect and visually inspect customer samples for color variance, size accuracy, and defects prior to processing
Complete daily job documentation, weight count reports, and required inspection records
Perform final inspections for specified customers
Weigh completed jobs to verify product counts prior to release
Release completed jobs to the shipping department once quality requirements are met
Maintain a clean, organized work area while following all safety and quality procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shift
Ability to read and write instructions and correspondence
Ability to use hands for simple and power grasping, pushing, and pulling
Ability to operate a hand-operated pallet jack to move pallets of material
Strong attention to detail, particularly related to printing, cutting, and gluer quality issues
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to pass a color vision test
Reliable attendance required
Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Prior experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection environment
Familiarity with visual inspection techniques and basic measurement tools
