Quality Technician – Machining & Metal Manufacturing
Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm; could potentially move to 4 days on / 4 days off — 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled Quality Technician with a machining or metal manufacturing inspection background to support our growing production operation. In this role, you will ensure that products, processes, and documentation meet internal quality standards, industry specifications, and Customer Specific Requirements. You will be a key resource in maintaining product integrity and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform first article, in‑process, and final inspections of extruded aluminum and machined products.Use precision measuring instruments—micrometers, calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, and other inspection tools—to verify dimensional accuracy.Document inspection results and communicate findings to operators, engineers, and leadership.Collect, analyze, and present quality data to support decision‑making and corrective actions.Support containment, investigation, and disposition of nonconforming material, including customer returns and internal rejects.Assist with root cause analysis, corrective action development, and continuous improvement activities.Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, sales, and customer service on quality best practices.Act with a high sense of urgency to support production needs.Essential Skills & ExperienceHands-on experience in quality inspection or quality control within a machining, metal fabrication, or industrial manufacturing environment.Strong proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).Solid understanding of manufacturing prints, tolerances, and basic GD&T concepts.Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASTM, or ASME.Basic computer proficiency for data entry, reporting, and documentation.Preferred QualificationsExperience with metallurgical testing, sample prep, or material properties evaluation.background in root cause analysis (5Y, Fishbone, DMAIC, etc.).Ability to train team members in inspection, measurement, or metallurgical techniques.Capability to lead small teams or oversee tasks in ad‑hoc supervisory situations.Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment and instrumentation issues.Why Join Us?Consistent 4-on/4-off schedule with the opportunity for significant overtime.Fast-growing operation with real opportunities for advancement and skill development.Work within a supportive quality team where your expertise makes a direct impact on production success.Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a non–climate‑controlled industrial aluminum processing facility, working alongside a department manager and two other Quality Technicians. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and highly collaborative.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pennsauken, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
