This role ensures adherence to quality standards through calibration of testing equipment, conducting audits, analyzing data, and facilitating corrective actions. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve process issues, manage customer returns, and maintain accurate documentation. It drives continuous improvement initiatives and supports compliance with corporate quality systems to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction within the distribution environment. Essential Functions: + Coordinate and perform facility quality actions including, but not limited to: + Calibration and measuring of testing equipment + Perform required tests and audits of products and processes + Monitor facility quality and work with staff to develop corrective actions to foster improvement + Coordinate the facility quality system including work instructions, documents, records, and audit actions + Attend quality updates and training sessions + Work with leadership on problem solving + Conduct Root Cause Analysis + Track progress, thru Pareto Analysis, PDCA + Participate during external audits (on-site) + Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions + Ability to effectively implement continuous improvement + Understand Office, Warehouse, Hose Fab and Kitting Processes (if applicable) + Team player, engaging across multiple teams and disciplines + Enforce & update work instructions to changing environment + Engage with Division Quality Team Members + Assess the cost of poor quality + Establish and maintain Quality Starpoint Teams + Merge 5 Star Quality Team findings + Engage in conversation, with knowledge and confidence, with customers at customer visits + Develop and establish quality plans, inspection plans, trends, statistical plans & cost estimates + Read and interpret product blueprints and/or catalogs + Use of measuring devices such as calipers and tapes + Record & report necessary data on appropriate paperwork and/or in computer-based program(s) (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.) + Actively support the Corporate Win Strategy + Actively support Safety Culture + Perform other related responsibilities Requirements: + High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 or 4-year college degree preferred + Affiliation with and position equivalent certification by industry recognized quality organization(s) + (prefer ASQ) (CQT required – can be obtained while at Parker) + Six Sigma White Belt + ISO Lead Auditor (must maintain certification level) + Knowledge of the ISO 9000 International Standard + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel & Word) + Strong communication skills + Mechanical aptitude + Working knowledge of writing: Work Instructions & Quality Manuals + Knowledge of PFMEA, AIAG, Failure Analysis & PPAP + Job requirements include standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing ladders or stairs, and the ability to lift to 40 pounds + LEAN experience + Experience with Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) preferred + Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements + Clear communication (oral and written) skills + Ability to keep accurate records + Ability to follow documented procedures and standards + Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision + Customer service skills + Mathematical skills + Strong attention to detail + Understand ISO 9000/9001 quality policies Hiring Conditions: This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
