Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description
Join our team as a Quality Technician where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of our products. You will conduct inspections using a variety of measuring tools and equipment, ensuring all materials and finished goods meet company and customer standards. Your work will support the quality assurance process from receiving, in-process, and final inspections to first piece set-ups and formal First Article Inspections (FAI).
Responsibilities
+ Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections, and first piece set-ups utilizing appropriate measuring tools and equipment.
+ Conduct visual examinations of products in accordance with customer specifications and company workmanship standards.
+ Perform formal documented First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for both internal and external customers.
+ Prepare, maintain, and review inspection reports.
+ Assist Quality Engineers in the creation and execution of inspection plans and engineering studies.
+ Perform containment activities to prevent potential or additional quality defects.
+ Develop in-process control charts for monitoring and improving performance as requested.
+ Ensure materials and finished goods conform to all company and customer standards.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in using standard inspection equipment and basic hand tools, including calipers, micrometers, steel rules, pin gages, go-no-go gages, CMM, and Vision equipment.
+ Understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), engineering drawings and specifications.
+ Knowledge of sampling techniques and safety information.
+ Working knowledge of ISO, AS 9100, FDA Quality System Regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think independently.
+ Demonstrated record of excellent performance in meeting high standards of quality, quantity, and dependability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to assist Quality Engineers in the execution of engineering studies.
+ Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
+ Capability to perform first piece set-up and First Article Inspections in accordance with established inspection plans.
Work Environment
The work environment is structured Monday through Friday from 7AM to 3:30PM, supporting a mission to provide custom precision manufacturing and innovative services to industries such as medical, aviation, space, defense, and emerging high-tech sectors.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Elk River, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
