What You Will Do:

We have an opportunity for a MCL Quality Technical Team Member to be based in Columbus, GA.

This is a weekend night shift position , AWW2 , 7pm- 7am.

Responsibilities include:

Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testingReceive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracySort priorities as neededOperate multiple machines for Specimen testingComply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.Log testing data in UGAMaintain required log books

Lab Inspection:

Ensure incoming specimens meet J section specificationsVisually inspect specimens and with the usage of gagesEnsure specimens are prioritized correctlyEnsure receiver number, shop dimensions, and alloy data matches the envelope

Grainsize:

Perform internal and external grainsize operations on partsFollow blueprints, Work Instructions and GBMOP to mark locations accuratelyUtilize different chemicals for the etching processPrepare specimens by operating different equipment and polishing methodsUse Solumina and UGA for data recordingPerform grainsize readings on the microscope

All:

Perform 6s each shiftEngage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savingsComplete all training within the expected time given

Qualifications You Must Have:

High School Diploma or GEDMust be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift. Overtime may be required.Two to five years’ experience in machining and/or quality.Familiar with blueprints.

Qualifications We Value:

Two to five years’ experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment. Technical degree preferred.Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.Good organizational skills.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
