The Boeing AvionX Quality organization is seeking a highly motivated Experienced or Senior Quality Systems Audit Specialist (Level 3 or 4) to join our growing team in Smithfield, Pennsylvania.  AvionX supports work across all Boeing business units (BDS, BCA & BGS).

Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions.  Our requirement to build quality and reliable products is high.  

You will be working in a team environment collaborating with multiple functions. Your participation in the entire life cycle of our products is key.  You will integrate Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of program processes and documentation.

The selected candidate will lead quality reviews of regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development, support multi-function groups to develop policies, processes and procedures to ensure contract, customer, and regulatory requirements are deployed and develop scope, schedule and plan for audits to comply with processes and procedures. You will also support the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance and support external audits to ensure the organization maintains ISO certification all while working under minimal direction.

Position Responsibilities:   

Lead auditor – Plan, schedule and conduct internal audits and external audits.

Manage National Quality Assurance (NQA) audits – Schedule, Auditor coordination, Prepare teams, Lead audit.

Corrective and Preventive action management – solution/closure.

QMS Analyst – Support the organization’s QMS.

Maintain Quality Compliance and Certification of Production Sites and Personnel.

Procedure support – development and configuration control of internal writings and forms (QMS Manuals, Quality plans, etc.).

Records and Information Management – RIM focal, RIM File plan maintenance.

Leads stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited course of study

5+ years of experience in auditing techniques, including internal and external audits    

Willing to travel domestically 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, science or business or equivalent combination of education and experience

Training / Certifications- AS9100 Lead Auditor Certification

Experience working Root Cause Corrective Actions

Experience with Microsoft Word and Power Point

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Experienced (Level 3) Summary pay range: $80,750 - $109,250

Senior (Level 4) Summary pay range: $100,300 - $135,700
