Job Description
The Quality Supervisor provides leadership and support for the quality and operations teams during night shift operations. This role ensures compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards by supervising the night shift quality team, monitoring quality assurance processes, conducting audits and training, and supporting continuous improvement across packaging and sanitation operations. The Quality Supervisor acts as a key liaison between departments, ensuring that the night shift operates in alignment with food safety and quality expectations.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise the night shift quality team, which includes 5 Quality Technicians and a Quality and Compliance Specialist.Monitor quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards.Conduct audits and provide training to uphold quality standards.Support continuous improvement across packaging and sanitation operations.Act as a key liaison between departments to ensure alignment with food safety and quality expectations.Essential SkillsAssociates degree in the sciences or Bachelor's degree in the life sciences (Food Science, Microbiology, Biology or related field).At least 2 years of experience in the food industry, with baking industry experience being most comparable.Experience working under GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety principles.Familiarity with SQF (GFSI).Lead or supervisory experience.Experience writing SOPs/procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with metal detection/X-ray for troubleshooting is a plus.Independent worker with the ability to spearhead projects and confidently implement changes.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $83200.00/yr.
