Crestron is seeking a skilled Quality Specialist to join our Corporate Quality team in Orangeburg, NY. In this role, you will play a key part in resolving critical product issues. You'll collaborate with customer support to understand reported problems, and partner with failure analysis engineers to identify root causes. Once identified, you’ll work closely with suppliers to drive corrective actions. Your responsibilities may include issuing inventory containment orders, conducting inspections, supporting inventory sorting, and providing QA oversight during product rework.

 

This is a team-oriented role with regular interaction across groups that influence and support our products. You'll be part of an experienced team of quality professionals committed to Crestron’s success and customer satisfaction. At first, you’ll contribute in a supporting capacity to resolve quality cases, with the opportunity to take on a lead role as you grow.

 

This is a 100% onsite position in Orangeburg, NY.

 

Key Responsibilities

Support field issue resolution by collaborating on quality cases with supplier quality engineers and independently managing cases when assigned. Review first article inspections and open-box reports; provide recommendations for approval or rejection and help drive corrective actions when needed. Conduct inventory checks and initiate containment actions when product quality concerns arise. Support Material Review Board activities; participate in MRB to resolve discrepant materials linked to quality cases. Additional duties as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a related technical field, or equivalent experience 2-3 years of experience in a quality assurance role in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Ability to manage projects and track multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to understand basic form, fit, and function of various electronic products to perform functional checks when needed.   Ability to work with an ERP system such as SAP Excel proficiency a strong plus
