The Quality Specialist (12-month assignment) is responsible for supporting the major Quality Systems and ensure a state of compliance and continuous improvement with product release, annual compliance, field actions/product holds, training and change control.

What you'll be doingReview laboratory, transportation, and warehouse documentation to ensure product releaseDisposition of both imported and domestic productsWork together with 3PL and internal teams on matters and steps related to product distribution in CanadaManage and maintain all quality documentsConduct impact assessments and complete tasks for change controlsReview and approve compliance documentation such as APQR, batch records, and stability dataSupport method transfers and the launch of new products as requiredAssist with product holds and quality assessments of returned productsParticipate in internal audits and regulatory inspections to ensure compliance

What you'll bringUniversity Degree or equivalent experience and/or relevant post-secondary education and experienceDrug and/or medical device product release/product disposition experienceExcellent knowledge of GMPs and Health Canada regulationsStrong communication and technical writing skillsAbility to take initiative and multitask across projectsExperience with third-party logistics and quality frameworks such as NCR/CAPA, Change Control, and DocumentationSkills in MS Office and Windows operating systems

Preferred:University Degree in Sciences/Health Sciences or equivalent experience, supplemented by further post-graduate educationExperience in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, Chemistry, Biology, or EngineeringPrior experience with Corporate and/or MoH auditsStrong understanding of Health Canada GMP & Medical Device RegulationsProject Management experienceDecision-making skills for ambiguous situations and customer focus

We understand that compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. 
The estimated salary range for this position is $72,080 - $108,120 annually, which reflects base salary as well as estimated target payout under the Management Incentive Compensation Plan. Individual pay will be determined based upon skills, expertise and experience, and the incentive, which is contingent upon company and individual performance outcomes.
