The MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) is the Premier Vertical Lift military program in the world. Bell's MV-75 FLRAA aircraft will become the Army's primary assault aircraft for the next 30 years, sunsetting UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and advancing the Army's assault capabilities. The MV-75 program is utilizing the latest in cutting edge technology to expand the United States Army’s tactical advantage in future conflicts.

This position is onsite at Bell's Amarillo Texas facilities.

Quality Team – Operations Specialist, Build Process Program Planning, Amarillo, TX

As we build out aircraft for the FLRAA program, the Amarillo Quality Assurance Department ensures adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS), conformity to our engineering requirements and communicates both verbally and in writing at all levels of management.

This role will initially be assisting Quality operations in the build process new program plan reviews and receiving inspection plan creation. Will ensure all new planned instructions have inspect points embedded in appropriate and sensible locations and meets the Army requirements for CSI (Critical Safety Item) parts.

Eventually, role will evolve into quality liaison for repeat or high-risk defects between Manufacturing, Quality Engineering Production Engineering and Engineering.Other duties can include assistance in startup programs or processes.

What you’ll be doing as a Quality Operations Specialist, Amarillo, TX

Assist and coordinate the review of new program planning (FLRAA) to ensure accuracy and readability of the planned instructions.Will also create Inspection work plans for receiving inspection using model-based engineering to determine criticalness of the part and characteristics to be verified.Liaison between MFG, QE, for accurate planned instructions. Maintain a team environment that simultaneously includes compliance to requirements and continuous process improvement.Identify opportunities to engage the workforce in building quality into our products.Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Bell department and plant policies and procedures.Further develop soft skills by working collaboratively with all levels of Bell across multiple facilities including liaison engineering, production engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and DCMA.

Skills You Bring To this Role:

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel)Strong Collaboration to work across Bell team and strong communication skills (both oral and written) Prior knowledge in Bell’s systems (ENOVIA, SAP, PowerBi, PEO, CATIA V6, and 3DX) preferredTechnical writing experience preferred. Continuous Improvement/Green Belt certification preferred.

What you need to be successful:

Bachelor’s degreeAt least 2 years of work experience in aviation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT) experience is required Prior experience working with computer/digital based product blueprints for production or maintenance.Prior military aircraft maintainer experience is strongly preferredPrior program planning experience in manufacturing quality Ability to work in site in Amarillo, TX (Relocation assistance is not available)
