Quality Monitoring Specialist
**Description** Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve. **Summary:** The Ophthalmic Supervisor assists the Ophthalmic Manager in overseeing clinical operations, including, but not limited to supervising ophthalmology technical staff, including imaging technologists; managing supply management to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of high-quality patient care and an excellent patient experience. This position requires a certification in Ophthalmic Technology, knowledge and experience in exceptional customer service, leadership skills, and independent decision-making. **Responsibilities:** Clinical Operations & Staff Supervision: Provide day-to-day supervision of and direction to ophthalmic staff to ensure effective clinic operations. Adjust daily schedules based on patient needs, staffing, and clinic flow. Collaborate with the Ophthalmic Manager to monitor staff performance, set productivity goals, and provide regular feedback. Mentor and train staff to foster growth, maintain competencies, and ensure compliance with clinic policies. Conduct daily huddles to communicate updates regarding patient flow, staffing, and clinic needs. Possess broad clinical experience to supervise and perform clinical workups and exams as needed. Ensure clinical areas have all necessary supplies, medications, and equipment by submitting timely orders and requests to maintain efficient operations. Compliance: Ensures program(s) are prepared for inspections and site visits, ensures that accreditation and compliance are maintained. Ensures corrective action is taken when deficiencies are found. Continuous Quality Improvement: Conducts ongoing evaluation program evaluation to ensure outcomes (fiscal, strategic and service) are met. Analyzes processes and develops educational programs or modifies practice to improve processes and service. Leadership & Team Management: Partner with the Ophthalmic Manager to lead and guide the ophthalmic team, ensuring alignment with clinic objectives. Coordinate with Ophthalmic Manage to plan, organize, and facilitate onboarding, in-service training, mentorships for apprentices and team meetings. Address patient relations issues and staff concerns, escalating as needed. Participate in annual performance reviews and assist in creating professional development plans for team members. Leads daily huddles and fostering effective communication with all providers and staff. Clinical & Administrative Duties: Provide patient-centric care, demonstrating high quality through accuracy, timeliness, professionalism, and thoroughness. Oversee the purchase and inventory of medical supplies and medications to ensure clinic readiness. Coordinate with management for equipment maintenance and repairs. Fiscal Develops budgets: monitors expense and analyzes monthly budget indicators. Controls overhead and maximizes revenue generation. May evaluate billing, coding, or other related processes. Professional Development: Work with leadership to develop professional growth plans for staff and self.
