Role Overview
Assist in the development, communication, and adoption of quality practices, tools, and processes. Establish project quality plans and procedures. Verify that relevant procedures and processes are in place to achieve quality in design, procurement, fabrication, and construction across multiple contractors. Ensure design is performed according to a design development plan, and documents are issued-for-design. Ensure assembly and testing are performed according to approved drawings and procedures issued-for-construction. Review the Contractor’s proposed Construction Procedures (Fabrication, Welding, NDE, etc.). Conduct competency assessments of the Contractor’s Quality Control Personnel. Capture new lessons learned and implement previous lessons learned. Review Contractor’s quality KPIs. Represent the project quality discipline at assurance or peer reviews. Communicate effectively with project leadership, functional leadership, executives, and engineering contractors.Skills & Qualifications
Experience in supporting quality on multi-discipline projects from design to commissioning (HUC). Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills across various stakeholders. Effective planning and time management skills. Proficient in risk identification, mitigation controls, and management. Competence in ISO9001 management systems and other applicable quality standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO29001, API Q1/Q2). Understanding of continuous improvement tools. Experience with assurance, verification, and validation programs. Management of contractor and supplier evaluation, audit, and verification activities.Education & Experience
20+ years of QA/QC experience in oil and gas and heavy construction, including inspection knowledge. Strong experience in Offshore Mega projects (typically FPSO, FPU, Module Construction, Subsea TL,Surf) etc Experience in Vendors Quality Management, Inspection, Surveillance, and Auditing capability Relevant tertiary qualification or trade qualifications with quality management experience. ASQ Auditor Certified preferred. ASQ CQI Certified Quality Inspector.Pay & Benefits
