Quality Manager

Degree in Quality or Technical field desirable.

Essential Functions

The key activities outlined below represent an overview only of the position of Quality Manager, based on site at the Telford Plant and should not be seen as a prescriptive list of activities.  Strong leadership skills are vital, together with initiative in identifying and focusing on continuous improvement, growth and profitability. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to ensure products and processes meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role leads continuous improvement initiatives and drives a strong quality culture across the business.

Specific Responsibilities 

Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9120, IATF 16949) to ensure highest standards are achieved.Manage the fastener testing laboratory, including coordination with Operations and Planning.Facilitate problem solving program to ensure root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures.Establish and monitor effective location KPI program.To develop departmental team to ensure company objectives are fulfilled.Lead internal and external audits; manage corrective and preventive actions.To monitor internal/external customer satisfaction and identify/recommend areas of improvement. Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.Lead efforts to improve/resolve any quality at root cause and process variability problems.Actively promote & recognize quality adherence and drive performance improvement throughout the organisationEmbrace and develop the culture of continuous process improvement across the company.Ensure effective communication between customers and suppliers on all quality-related issues.Train employees in quality and test lab standards, procedures, and best practices.Maintain quality documentation and recordsManaging and maintaining 5S principles and standards within the laboratory and quality area.Support Corporate commitments and Quality initiatives through effective liaison and collaboration.

Experience & Background.

Demonstrated leadership success in a Quality and testing role.Working knowledge of financial principles.Experience of working within KPI framework.
