Quality Manager
Job Title: Quality ManagerJob Description

Join our team as a Quality Manager for a brand new power plant project, focusing on the construction of a Simple Cycle 3F class Siemens CT plant. This full-time, field-based position requires overseeing electrical inspection and quality control to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications. You will work closely with contractors to resolve discrepancies and ensure successful project execution.

ResponsibilitiesControl and distribute all company quality documentation.Monitor all quality-related activities on the project.Perform daily inspections of onsite work.Conduct internal and external audits on behalf of management.Verify contractor quality requirements and review documentation submittals.Review qualifications and training requirements of quality inspection personnel.Monitor the disposition of issued nonconformance reports.Assess the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system, recommending improvements when necessary.Review and comment on quality-related correspondence with contractor representatives.Monitor statistical method reporting.Review all turnover documentation upon project completion.Participate in quality-related activities with designated representatives.Attend meetings and provide insights on quality-related subjects.

Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with simple cycle or similar power plant construction (Siemens, 3F turbines, RICE plants, etc.).Construction management background preferred but not required.
Work Environment

The Quality Manager will be required to work on site 5-6 days a week for a duration of 5-7 years at two locations: Cedar Rapids and Burlington. These sites are new generation plants with Cedar River Generating Station being a natural gas electric generating facility with a capacity of approximately 94 net megawatts. The project involves five Wärtsilä W18V50SG RICE generators, each with a nominal capacity of 18.8 MW. This role offers the opportunity to work directly for the utility, with GSA per diem rates and optional mileage reimbursement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
