Caterpillar is seeking a Quality Manager in Athens, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for teams overseeing all quality organizations which include quality production processes, Incoming Quality Audits (IQA), CQMS & BIQ process, calibration processes, quality engineering, root cause corrective action
**What you can look forward to in this role:**
+ Champion a culture of quality within the team and process partners
+ Set goals and assist team in meeting quality goals/standards.
+ Implement various corporate initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification, BIQ, etc.
+ Set budget requirements, cost savings projects, forecasting production needs and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
+ Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and workforce to achieve manufacturing cost, quality, and inventory management target.
+ Promote the development of people through continued education, employee involvement, increased responsibility, and ergonomics.
+ Support new product introduction.
+ Owning the Continuous Improvement process, making sure new ideas are generated, worked, and implemented, and any roadblocks are eliminated.
+ Coaching process improvement dialogs with Production Managers, Team Leads and Team Members.
+ Defining and ensuring adherence to quality processes.
+ Developing detailed near-term and long-term production support plans.
+ Driving root cause analysis and resolution on all forms of loss, i.e., safety, quality, velocity.
+ Performing periodic audits for safety behavior, 5S, standard work, productivity, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
+ Ensuring daily production support requirements
**A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:**
+ **Root Cause Analysis (RCA** ): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.
+ **Quality Management** : Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
+ **Quality Risk Management:** Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for Quality Risk Management; ability to implement the quality assurance process of assessment, control, communication, and review of risks to the quality of products.
+ **Influencing** : Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
+ Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

+ Progressive career growth in Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, or related fields that includes leading people.
+ A degree in a manufacturing or business degree
+ A demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of people across functional areas in a facility.
+ A working knowledge of quality management systems
+ Project management background
+ Demonstrated focus on people, quality, velocity, and cost.
+ Demonstrated strong problem-solving skill along with deep knowledge of how to leverage LEAN principles toward continuous improvement.
**Additional Information:**
The primary location for this position is Athens, GA.

**Summary Pay Range:**
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
