Join us and build _your_ ambition. **ABOUT THE ROLE** The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing material quality for the Greater Vancouver area. This role is directly responsible for ensuring our customers receive the appropriately performing quality products, by leveraging our production excellence and sales-force effectiveness while ensuring reserve optimization. The Quality Manager plays a key role in directing what materials are designated for production and shipping. **WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH** + Health & Safety Leadership: Champion and support a strong safety culture through active presence on-site and by ensuring safe, healthy working conditions in all areas of responsibility. + Team Development & Management: Oversee recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluation of personnel to ensure a high-performing and technically skilled team. + Operational Support: Provide technical expertise to support the Operations & Commercial Manager in bidding projects and driving overall efficiency. + Quality Assurance Oversight: Lead the Quality Department and ensure the effective implementation, standardization, and continuous improvement of quality plans and audits across the Greater Vancouver Area. Maintain CCIL status for certified laboratories across the GVA. + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Plant Managers, Ready-Mix, QA, and Sales departments to ensure alignment on quality standards and material performance. + External Relations & Advocacy: Represent Lafarge in technical associations and maintain strong relationships with engineers, consultants, and regulatory bodies to promote products and influence specifications. + Customer Engagement: Respond to customer needs promptly, communicate test results effectively, and troubleshoot quality complaints with data-driven solutions. + Performance Monitoring: Analyze key performance data and KPIs (consistency, conformance, complaints), investigate variances, and implement corrective actions. + Inventory & Product Management: Maintain optimal aggregate inventory levels, assist with inventory management, and oversee monthly inventory reporting and product certifications. + Testing & Product Validation: Conduct aggregate testing (truck/barge), analyze drill data, validate product quality, and ensure shipped materials meet specifications + Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
