About you and this role: You will have accountabilities for all aspects of the plant/department quality program as defined in the Business Quality Strategy to enable the business to profitably meet customer and product regulatory requirements related to the quality management system. You will serve as an expert resource and consultant and provides training, coaching, and overall guidance to enhance front line knowledge and accountability for quality across key roles and promotes and enable a customer-focused culture across multiple plants or within a single plant at a large site with complex interfaces and/or requirements. You will lead quality improvement projects or represent quality within a broader project and has accountability for all change management activities related to product quality across the identified scope. You will be required to have in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Responsibilities: + Leads the site quality program which aligns to the Business Quality Strategy at the plant/site level. + Provides an effective interface between customers, the organization and cross-functional partners to ensure consistent high-quality service to customers. Represents the “Voice of Customer” within the organization and across the business/division, as appropriate. + Builds and enhances cross-functional relationships, services and flow of information between the organization and the customer, and other key stakeholders related to the product quality/regulatory requirements related to the quality management system. + Improves effectiveness of the quality management system, on a continual basis, and demonstrates influential leadership to execute improvement opportunities. + Generates and uses quality data to enable cross functional partners to drive product quality improvements. + Identifies and leads management of change reviews that potentially impact product quality across identified scope. + Ensures plant Operating Discipline system, procedures and guidelines meet quality system requirements, as appropriate and serves as element focal point for the quality requirements of the Operating Discipline Management System. + Provides expert training, guidance and consultation to the organization and other cross-functional roles that impact product quality on customer and product regulatory requirements, and the use of supporting quality tools and processes to achieve plant and business goals. + Identifies and leads product quality improvement opportunities and advanced problem-solving efforts with broader scopes and leveraging potential as determined through data analysis, customer feedback, continual improvement projects, and other quality-related programs. + Establishes and leads the organization’s quality system audit program and leads internal and third party audits, in conjunction with Business or Site strategies, leveraging findings to drive continual improvement. Required qualifications: + A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking. + A minimum of six years of experience in quality, manufacturing or related. + A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Preferred qualifications: + Prefer a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry. + Knowledge of Dow's quality process, including ISO 9001.
