Position: Quality Lead (Manufacturing)
Location: Doha, Qatar
Contract Duration: 36 months (with possibility of extension)
Client: Major energy company (confidential)

A major energy company is seeking an experienced Quality Lead (Manufacturing) to support a high-profile compression project. The role involves overseeing quality assurance across manufacturing processes, supplier quality, and compliance with international standards.

Important Note:
Only candidates who hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences will be considered.
Candidates with a Master’s degree but no Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible.

Key Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality within the Oil & Gas industry At least 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role Strong background in QMS, inspections, testing, and supplier quality Proficient in root cause analysis tools (e.g., Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys) Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities:

Create and implement quality control plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure products and processes meet established standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and tests during various stages of manufacturing to identify defects or deviations from quality standards. Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis using tools such as Fishbone Diagram and 5 Whys, and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other teams to address quality issues, communicate quality standards, and drive continuous improvement. Ensure manufacturing processes and products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements. Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality through best practices and lean manufacturing principles. Lead or participate in Quality Management System audits to ensure full compliance with company requirements and applicable international codes and standards. Evaluate and manage the quality of materials and components sourced from suppliers. Participate in the validation of new manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure consistent production of quality-compliant products.
