Job Description

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT 

Perform inbound and internal inspection and test of materials including visual or with various hardware, fixtures, and gauges, based on Inspection Instruction/Plan, criteria established in specific failure catalogue (including appearance, surface defects, debris, shards and similar) or under orientation of a Lead Inspector.Checking parts / process at beginning of shift, in-process, and end of shift to assure adherence/conformity based on the Quality Plan (Inspection Instructions, Work Instructions, SOPs, etc.). Conducts in-process sampling and physical testing of product with required paperwork. Prepare and provide inspection reports for measurements performed as needed.Proper containment and control of non-conforming material. Escalate as necessary and support Production in containment(s) as need.Performs other duties assigned by Lead Inspector or Quality Coordinator, for example, perform MSA Studies as an appraiser.Support Customer, Internal, and External IATF 16949 audit program(s) as required.In the event that an instrument or equipment is damaged, malfunctions, lost or needs replacement, it must be reported and removed from use (as applicable).Maintain organized (5S)/detailed records, workstations and instruments during the activities being performed and support the activity of keeping work or inspection instructions updated as needed.

THE ENVIRONMENT 

Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as safety glasses, steel or composite toe shoes, and in limited cases hearing protection.We are a 24/7 Facility and have many different shifts. Here are the hours associated with each:Blow Mold Schedule [2/2/3 rotating 12 hour. This means 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, then it will switch. This position is expected to work every other weekend based on schedule].BMNN2 is the night shift operating from 6pm-6am.The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE 

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Experience: 3 years in quality experience required.Technical Skills: Computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) , basic math skills, knowledge of tools including Vernier calipers, go/no gauges, templates, and Problem Solving Methodology are mandatory. Trend Analysis and SAP required. Knowledge of ISO9001 and or IATF16949 Standard requirements.Other Skills/ Abilities: Must be able to work in a demanding customer focused environment and prioritize responsibilities to meet customer and organizational requirements. Solid verbal and written English communication skills are required. Ability to deal with all levels of the organization effectively. Must be able to work independently and be able to prioritize.Relocation benefits would not be offered for this job opening.Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
