Job Title: Quality Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Lab Technician to join our team and perform microbiological and chemical testing of finished products, raw materials, and associated items. The role requires strict adherence to food safety and quality system requirements, including all pertinent regulatory, customer, and SQF standards. The successful candidate will maintain all applicable standard operating procedures and employ a continuous improvement mindset, assisting in identifying opportunities to enhance processes.

ResponsibilitiesConduct microbiological and chemical testing on finished products, raw materials, and associated items.Ensure compliance with food safety and quality system requirements, including regulatory, customer, and SQF standards, and follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs).Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify and implement process improvements.Record and analyze test results, and report any deviations or non-conformities.Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure product quality and safety.Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods and procedures.Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration and maintenance schedules are followed.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.1+ years of experience in a quality assurance or laboratory role within the dairy, aseptic manufacturing, or food manufacturing industry required if lacking a degree.Experience with various microbiological and chemical testing methods.Familiarity with food safety and quality standards, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Additional Skills & QualificationsLaboratory expertiseQuality assurance knowledgeProficiency in GMP, Biology, Microbiology, aseptic techniques, pipetting, Wet chemistry, Titration, Chemistry, QC, and HPLC.Work Environment

The role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing plant with multiple openings, particularly on 2nd and 3rd shifts. The 2nd shift runs from 2pm to 10:30pm, while the 3rd shift is from 10pm to 6:30am. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43160.00 - $47944.00/yr.
