Quality Inspector/Test Technician

FHP Manufacturing is a leader in the production of geothermal and water source heat pumps, providing some of the most efficient heating and cooling comfort solutions in the industry. **Job Description** The Quality Inspector & Test Technician supports production by ensuring our products meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role combines inspection, end-of-line testing, troubleshooting, and technical support to maintain production flow and product reliability. **Key Responsibilities** **Quality Inspection** + Perform end of line inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. + Maintain detailed inspection and record findings in system (tablet). + Identify defects, determine root causes, and collaborate with production teams on corrective actions. + Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and industry regulations. + Monitor production processes and recommend improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency. **Test technician** + Serve as first point of contact for team leaders and supervisors when end-of-line test issues occur. + Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions during assembly and end-of-line testing. + Analyze and interpret test data to diagnose issues and implement corrective solutions. + Identify process improvement opportunities and update work instructions as needed. + Communicate effectively with end-of-line operators to ensure daily production targets are met. **Technical Skills** + Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (compressors, fan motors, valves, condensers, piping, and control devices). + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, refrigeration piping schematics, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings. + Demonstrate troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic, and automated control systems (PLC knowledge preferred). + Ability to detect subtle defects or non-conformances + Basic knowledge of Ethernet networking and computer systems. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills. **Qualifications** + High School Diploma or equivalent (required) + 1-2 yrs experience as a Test Technician (preferably in a manufacturing setting) **Additional Information** + High attention to detail and accuracy. + Strong analytical and root cause problem-solving skills. + Clear communication skills with cross-functional teams. + Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. + Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment as required.
