The Quality Inspector - Machining, Welding Assembly & Pressure Testing is responsible for verifying product conformity throughout the manufacturing process. You will ensure compliance with engineering drawings/welding procedures/inspection and test plans (ITPs)/applicable codes and standards/supporting safe, compliant and reliable product delivery.
As a Quality Inspector, you'll be responsible for:
· Machining Inspection & In-Process Control - Inspect machined components from turning, milling, drilling, grinding and CNC operations.
· Determining suitable gauges and metrology in verifying accuracy against drawings, GD&T, tolerances and surface finish requirements.
· Interpreting engineering drawings, welding symbols, GD&T, material specifications, and inspections requirements.
· Welding - Inspect welding activities in accordance to approved WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications
· Verifying joint preparation/fit-up/preheat, interpass temperature and post weld requirements. Perform visual welding inspection (VT) and review NDT (as required).
· Testing and Assembly - Inspect mechanical assembly activities including: Component fit up and alignment, Torque application and fastening, etc.
· Handling Non-Conformances Control & Documentation.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
· Have 10+ years of hands-on experience as Quality Inspector in precision manufacturing related to machining/welding/mechanical assembly/pressure containing equipment (Aviation, O&G)
· Be proficient in manual metrology tools and CMM operations/programming. Have excellent ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and welding symbols.
· Have API Q1/Q2 Lead Auditor or ISO Lead Auditor Certificate with process mindset is added advantage.
· Have Six Sigma Green Belt/Black belt/Welding Inspection (CSWIP, AWS CWI), are highly advantages.
· Able to communicate in fluent English and Mandarin.
