Job Description
The Quality Lead is responsible for leading, directing, and training a team of production employees to ensure work is completed according to specified instructions. This role involves testing equipment, inspecting materials, and evaluating product quality, with a focus on identifying defects and making informed decisions based on inspection criteria.
ResponsibilitiesLead a team by example in attitude, work quality, work ethic, dependability, and communication.Direct employees to complete required inspection and testing operations.Follow procedures, instruments, engineering drawings, and training guidelines.Train employees according to departmental requirements.Monitor employees and assist them as needed.Address employee questions related to inspection and testing processes.Report rejects and problems to leadership and management.Test and inspect the quality of raw materials and work in process according to procedures.Complete all necessary documentation and records.Contribute as an effective team member.Maintain clean and organized work areas.Lift and exert force of 25 to 75 pounds as needed.Perform inspections either sitting or moving around as required.Essential SkillsProficiency in assembly, mechanical assembly, and quality assurance.Experience in quality inspection, quality check, and quality control.Ability to visually inspect products and recognize quality issues.High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to read and understand product criteria on engineering drawings.Effective leadership and communication skills.Ability to read and write in English.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a cleanroom environment is advantageous.Ability to work collaboratively within small teams.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes a temperature-controlled, cleanroom facility, ideal for assembling medical devices. Employees have access to lockers (with personal padlocks), a large break room, and work in teams of 20, rotating positions to avoid monotony. The dress code includes closed-toe shoes, shorts or jeans, a long sleeve or t-shirt, with a lab jacket/smock worn over clothing. Hair nets and beard nets are required at workstations. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
