About the role Responsible for performing first piece, in-process, and final inspections on the products in assigned areas of responsibility. Perform all functions in a safe manner and within quality standards. Responsibilities Performs inspection of product at various phases (first/last piece, in-process, and final) to established specifications which may include cosmetic, dimensional, functional, and agency requirements Interprets blueprints, drawings, specifications, and procedures to perform inspections, tests, or other job functions Identifies and labels non-conforming products and coordinates the segregation of non-conforming products to the appropriate location Selects gauges according to the feature or characteristic to be measured. Uses established Go / No Go gauges, optical comparators, and measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, thread plugs, pin gauges, ring gauges, radius gauges, etc. Creates and maintains quality records of all inspections and tests performed either on paper or electronically as required Participates in root cause analysis as part of an 8D or CAR issued in response to an internal audit, quality concern, or other manufacturing issues Ensures work is completed in accordance with departmental documentation and QMS requirements Perform color measurements using a spectrophotometer and interpret results Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Ability to move your hand(s), your hand(s) together with your arm(s), or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written English Ability to utilize Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook at a basic level Ability to solve basic math problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of fractions, decimals and to use methods such as truncating and rounding to obtain significant digits Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Previous manufacturing experience preferred Travel No Travel is anticipated What We Offer Comprehensive benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs 401K plans with employer-matching contributions Tuition reimbursement PTO Paid holidays Volunteer time off For more information about benefits, please go to: https://careers.leviton.com/benefits Leviton is an EEO/AA Employer.
