Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector who is open to all shifts. The role involves inspecting, checking, and measuring forgings for defects and conformance to specifications. You will work with aerospace parts such as blades, wheels, bearings, and hub caps, ensuring the highest quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesInspect hot forged metal off of the furnace.Report defects to operators and help correct them.Check try-outs and report results with recommendations.Prepare forgings for inspection by sawing, etching, and filing.Inspect performs and blockers for proper repair prior to subsequent operation.Maintain identity of stock forgings.Keep records and logs of products.Load and unload preheating units with stock or forgings.Handle, lubricate, and manipulate stock and forgings.Set, check, and adjust temperatures, remove vents, projections, and defects.Assist in the setup, reset, and adjustment of tools and equipment.Use industrial trucks to transport material in the work area and check their condition.Utilize micrometers, calipers, and gauges for inspection.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work involves inspecting finished forged metals in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Expect fluctuating temperatures, with conditions being hot in summer and cold in winter. Metals weigh between 20 - 350 lbs, moved via crane or automated robots, with inspectors assigned to various workstations for quality testing.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
• Supplementary pay plan – in addition to salary OT is paid in blocks of 2 hours ($125), 4 hours ($250), 8 hours ($500)
• Will be paid $250/month for working 3rd (shift differential)
