Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinate and perform civil construction walkdowns and inspections in preparation for system turnoverConduct and document inspections on earthworks, concrete, rebar placement, formwork, backfill, grading, and structural componentsVerify all civil work complies with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and ITPsMonitor concrete placement, testing activities, and field density testing (FDT) processesReview compaction results, concrete test reports, and material certifications for complianceTrack and maintain inspection records, non-conformances, and quality documentationSupport coordination of third-party testing and inspection servicesIdentify, document, and report quality issues, recommending corrective and preventive actionsCollaborate with site teams to enhance efficiency and uphold quality standardsQualifications:
Minimum 4+ years of civil construction inspection experienceExperience in heavy civil, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial construction environmentsStrong understanding of inspection requirements, quality procedures, and civil ITPsAbility to interpret civil drawings, specifications, and applicable codes/standards (CSA A23.1/A23.2, CSA S6, etc.)Familiarity with concrete inspection, compaction testing requirements, earthworks quality control, and structural civil elementsStrong documentation, report writing, and record-tracking skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to identify non-conformities and recommend improvementsLead Auditor certification would be an assetWork Conditions:
This is a site based positionCompensation
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
