Job Title: Quality Inspector - Aft

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our team. The role involves performing receiving inspections, in-process and final inspections on all switches and part orders being shipped. You will apply sound judgment in making quality-related decisions and problem solving. Additionally, you will have the authority to stop non-conforming processes after notifying the necessary personnel. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will ensure that quality standards and shipment deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

Perform receiving inspections as required.Conduct in-process and final inspections on all switches and part orders being shipped.Perform internal process and quality system audits, and report all findings.Apply sound judgment in making quality-related decisions and problem solving.Exercise the authority to shut down non-conforming processes after notifying the Quality Manager and Director of Operations.Communicate drawing discrepancies to the Engineering team.Participate in customer inspections as needed.Create and assist team members in writing and entering Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).Assist in the evaluation of non-conforming components, such as conducting dimensional analysis.Write Corrective Action Requests (CAR) for audits and assist employees with reporting problems requiring corrective action.Report violations of ISO Standards to the Quality Manager.Participate in the prototype review process for newly developed products.Review supplier documentation, including dimensional analysis, certifications, and SPC data.Develop and maintain necessary documentation and assist in document control.Engage in regular communication and cooperation with cross-functional teams.

Essential Skills

3+ years in a quality inspection position.Strong manufacturing, mechanical, and electrical knowledge.Experience in quality inspection and inventory control.Proficiency in using computers.Quality certifications and credentials, such as ASQ.Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with electrical and mechanical products.Education in a relevant field.Knowledge of continuous improvement processes.

Work Environment

The role is primarily on the afternoon shift from 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM. However, candidates must be willing to work from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM initially. A $1.00 premium is offered when transitioning to the afternoon shift. The environment is conducive to teamwork and continuous improvement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
