Job Title: Aircraft Quality Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector with an A&P license to join our team. The role involves inspecting aircraft maintenance comprehensively, from nose to tail, in a repair station setting. The successful candidate will ensure all structural and electrical modifications align with engineering blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

Inspect government aircraft undergoing various upgrades and modifications.Ensure structural and electrical modifications are correct per engineering blueprints/schematics, including material incorporation per the BOM.Author engineering change requests as needed.Complete required aircraft releases, focusing on modifications and airworthiness.Author necessary documentation related to STC installations.Perform weight and balance checks per the POH.Review ADs and SBs to ensure compliance as required.Update and review aircraft life-limited items per the manufacturer's AMM Chapter 4.Brief and debrief the flight crew during calibration flights.Inspect all fabricated parts (mechanical and electrical) per engineering blueprints/schematics.Conduct First Article Inspections as per repair station quality standards.

Essential Skills

A&P license.5+ years of experience in aircraft quality inspection, including airworthiness and return to service.Experience in aircraft manufacturing or repair station settings.Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings.High school diploma or GED.Flexibility on shift assignments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in quality assurance for aircraft.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills for briefing and debriefing flight crews.

Work Environment

The work environment is a dynamic hangar setting, part of a 145 repair station. The pace is fast, with specific tasks and work orders to be completed within designated timelines. The dress code is standard, requiring jeans and a t-shirt with steel-toed shoes. Operations run Monday to Friday during the day, with the addition of a night shift (3:30 PM - 2:30 AM) due to increased workload. Flexibility is essential as the facility operates 7 days a week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $48.00/hr.
