**Job Title: Quality Inspector** **Job Description**
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting products and monitoring the manufacturing process according to established standards. Your role will involve conducting inspections and evaluations to identify nonconforming materials and equipment, and supporting the nonconforming material system to implement containment and dispositions. You will check whether established control plans are adequate and effective in all phases of production, and assist manufacturing operations in quickly identifying, containing, and permanently resolving quality issues. Adherence to safety procedures and requirements is essential.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect products and monitor the manufacturing process according to established standards.
+ Conduct inspections and evaluations to identify nonconforming materials and equipment.
+ Support the nonconforming material system to implement containment and dispositions.
+ Check the adequacy and effectiveness of established control plans in all production phases.
+ Assist manufacturing operations in identifying, containing, and resolving quality issues.
+ Utilize and abide by safety procedures and requirements.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with ISO 9001 requirements is preferred.
+ Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) experience is desired.
+ Experience with precision measurement devices and equipment is required.
+ Knowledge of destructive and nondestructive testing methods is preferred.
+ Working knowledge of Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and programming capability is desired.
+ Proficiency with SPC, gage R&R, and basic quality tools (check sheets, flow charts, control charts, histograms, and scatter diagrams) is preferred.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Inspection and quality inspection experience.
+ Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance processes.
+ Ability to use calipers, blueprints, micrometers, assembly, production, and visual inspection.
+ Experience in final inspection and understanding of GD&T.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a very clean, medium-sized manufacturing environment with a team of around 40 people, which is growing and set to expand next year. The work hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with 15-20% overtime every week. Typically, there will be daily overtime, with occasional work on Saturdays.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westminster, MD.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
