Quality Inspector
Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description As a Quality Inspector in our lab, you will evaluate color for textiles, making approvals and rejections for production lots based on color quality. You will establish color tolerances and conduct visual assessments to ensure products meet pre-approved standards. Responsibilities + Receive and gather production samples for evaluation. + Articulate and communicate color decisions (pass/fail) and reasons for them. + Maintain records and input comments into Excel spreadsheets. + Communicate effectively with other lab technicians and quality control inspectors. Essential Skills + Color acuity and quality control expertise. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry. + Experience in inspections and laboratory settings. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must pass the Farnworth Munsell 100 Hue Test with a Superior rating (a score of less than 16). + Comfortable working in a lab environment. + Superior written and verbal communication skills. Work Environment The position operates during first shift hours, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The work environment is friendly and community-oriented, with opportunities for growth within the organization. The lab is part of a niche industry in color and textiles, and employees are encouraged to move into other roles. The dress code is casual, and you will report to the Color Standards Manager and QA Manager. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlstadt, New Jersey. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
