Quality Inspector
Job Summary:
The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that  products meet defined quality standards and customers’ expectations. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, methodical, and committed to continuous quality improvement. Key Responsibilities: Performing inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products using precision measuring tools and visual inspection techniques Verifying conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards Documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate quality records Identifying and reporting non-conformances and assisting in root cause investigations Collaborating with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve quality issues Supporting incoming inspection and final product release processes Ensuring proper calibration and use of inspection equipment Participating in audits and continuous improvement initiatives Assisting in the development and maintenance of inspection procedures and work instructions Promoting a culture of quality and accountability across the organization Cross-collaboration with the Inventory Specialist to receive incoming parts on occasion Performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management team with professionalism

Skills and Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs Familiarity with quality standards and inspection techniques (e.g., ISO, ASME, API) Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical components Effective communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Experience with ERP or quality management systems preferred Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus Forklift experience preferred Must be able to pass DOT drug testing Education Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or a related manufacturing role Six Sigma certification or RCCA experience is a plus Training in quality systems, inspection methods, or relevant industry standards preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 pounds as needed Willingness to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and conditions Ability to traverse the warehouse and access storage areas, including stretching, squatting, and reaching
