Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. Quality Improvement Specialist – (RN License Required) - Hospice
Responsibilities:
Participates in the scope of service of the MRMC Quality Department as it relates to improvement activities including but not limited to, patient care outcomes, medical staff peer review, Clinical Effectiveness initiatives, and process improvement activities. Utilize nursing skills to collect patient care data, summarize data, and formulate reports. Submits validated, timely data to the registry and or committee as required. Records, monitors, and reports both retrospective, concurrent, and post discharge data Participates in improvement initiatives as assigned. Coordinates clinical data for the purpose of developing data into useable, understandable, information to improve patient care and delivery, identify opportunities for improvement and obtain desired reportable and patient outcomes. Uses problem analysis skills and critical thinking to collect and analyze data, develop and write reports, letters, and materials needed to achieve desirable results as requested.
