Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Full-Time Quality Improvement Coordinator.

In this role you will be:

Assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement projects and initiatives aimed at improving patient care, safety, and operational efficiency.  Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on quality data, identifying trends and areas for improvement in patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety.  Collaborating with clinical and operational teams to implement evidence-based practices and process improvements that align with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.  Providing education and training to staff on quality improvement tools, methodologies, and patient safety protocols.Tracking/Trending medical staff performance.Occurrence/Complaint investigation.

Certification/Licensure

Virginia or Multi-State Registered Nurse License in good standing

Experience

2 years of acute careQI related activities preferred (medical record review, accreditation, PI activities)Experience in a clinical area of an acute care facility with demonstrated leadership, teaching and QI/PI facilitation skills preferredKnowledge and understanding of regulatory and accreditation agency standards preferred (DNV or JCAHO)Experience with data analysis, ExcelKnowledge around publicly reported quality data (CMS 5-star, QHIP, Leapfrog)Must be able to link the clinical effectiveness and clinical informatics arenasMay require local travel and use of personal automobile.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$69,742.40-$116,251.20. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
