We are seeking a committed Quality Excellence Engineer to be based in Rotterdam, Netherlands and work on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Job Description:
As a Quality Excellence Engineer, you are responsible for supporting quality assurance efforts in yard and supplier qualification activities, ensuring the effective execution of internal and external audits, providing essential inputs for project tenders and early proposal stages, and assisting with critical quality investigations.

You are pivotal in driving continuous improvement within the department, with a focus on enhancing GEMS compliance, while also actively contributing to broader organizational initiatives. Additionally, you integrate and provide quality assurance insights as part of performance monitoring.

You are key in promoting quality excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities: You review quality assurance documentation for supplier and yard qualifications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements, while providing feedback and recommendations for improvement. You plan and execute internal, certification, and qualification audits within GRS, conduct internal and external audits, and follow up to ensure timely closure of corrective actions. You analyze quality excellence performance, provide status updates on activities, and ensure timely reporting meeting department deadlines. You deliver continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department performance and efficiency. You contribute to organization-wide improvement initiatives, aligning with broader objectives. You ensure GEMS compliance and support enhancement activities aligned with organizational requirements. You participate in independent quality investigations outside of project activities, supporting thorough analysis and resolution. You assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and developing corrective action plans, supporting effective implementation and follow-up. You report key findings, issues, and recommendations to the Quality Excellence Manager, providing insights for decision-making. You support the integration of quality assurance requirements into tenders and proposals, reviewing related documentation for accuracy and completeness. You collaborate with other departments to address quality excellence matters and provide feedback to drive improvement. You promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization, embedding quality standards in all activities. You support the development and delivery of awareness/training programs on quality processes and procedures, ensuring the team maintains high-quality standards. Experiences: 10+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with at least 2 years in a senior role. Strong understanding of Project Management, Engineering principles, lifecycle processes, and construction, including fabrication and special processes. Expertise in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO) and deep knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and best practices for large-scale projects. Proficient in quality investigation tools, handling non-conformance, root cause analysis, FMEA, and CAPA. Strong knowledge of welding, coating, NDT, preservation, and explosive atmospheres (Ex), with relevant certifications as a plus. Education Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, science, or a related quality discipline, with a focus on quality management or relevant field. Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent standard, demonstrating proficiency in auditing quality management systems. Functional Competencies: Organizational culture.
