Quality Engineering Manager - Inspection

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager to join our team supporting our quality inspection operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of highly complex, low-rate manufactured components, from raw material through final inspection. You will use your strong leadership skills, and understanding of GD&T and quality management systems, with a proven ability to implement and improve quality controls in a challenging manufacturing environment. As a people manager, you will oversee a team of eight. Responsibilities + Independently lead and manage several teams of inspectors across different programs across the manufacturing site. + Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure product conformance and establish appropriate inspection methodologies. + Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, machinists, and design teams to optimize machining processes, reduce defects, and improve overall product quality. + Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process capability studies (CpK, PpK), statistical process control (SPC) implementation, and lean manufacturing principles. + Participate in supplier quality activities, including source inspections and qualification of machining suppliers. + Support internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and customer requirements. + Develop and deliver quality training to manufacturing personnel on best practices, quality tools, and inspection techniques. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Typically requires a Bachelors in a related discipline (i.e. Quality, Engineering, Management) and six years of Quality related experience, or an Associates in a related discipline and eight years of Quality related experience, or the overall equivalent; + Leadership experience supervising staff and managing a team; + Ability to support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; + Possesses or able to obtain a secret clearance; + Highly effective communication skills, written and verbal; + Ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels of the organization; + Strong organizational and priority-setting skills; + Ability to read and compile technical reports/information; + Must have a proven background in GD&T; + Computer proficiency to include MS Office Suite and other industry-related software. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + ASQ Certifications (e.g., CQE, CMQ/OE, CQA). + Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
